A small rectangular box in black Chinese lacquer. The lid features a partitioned geometric composition of inlaid eggshell mosaic, partially scorched by fire. The interior is fully lined with gold-dusted lacquer.

Signed "Jean Dunand”.

Large oval-shaped bronze and brass bowl, resting on four sturdy antique-inspired lion paw feet. The lower body is richly crafted with a fluted relief (vertical ribs), highlighting the elegance of its volume. The upper section, just below the rim, is adorned with a delicate inlaid frieze of golden brass scrolls and floral motifs, which stand out against the deep, textured green patina covering the exterior of the artwork. Two side handles with sinuous curves complete this sculptural composition. Signed and crafted between 1909 and 1913.

c. 1911 Bronze and brass bowl with lion paw feet

A geometric low side table, known as the "dorique" model, born from the historic collaboration between designer Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann and master lacquerer Jean Dunand. Originally designed in 1913, this unique piece was executed in 1925 for the prominent Lyon silk manufacturer François Ducharne. The table features an octagonal top resting on a powerful central fluted column stem, rigorously evoking the proportions of classical architecture. The entire structure is supported by a thick square plinth base. The oak frame is fully enhanced by a sumptuous, solid dark red lacquer of remarkable sheen and depth, showcasing Jean Dunand's signature craftsmanship. Drawing from 1913 (ref. 1002 AR/1109 N.R.). 1913 Low dark red lacquered oak side table

An Art Deco original gouache heightened with gold on paper laid down to board (circa 1936), signed by Jean Dunand on the lower right. The artwork depicts five bare-chested agricultural workers harvesting a stylized wheat field, wielding scythes and binding sheaves within a rhythmically structured composition executed in earth tones and gold accents. This preparatory study relates directly to Dunand's monumental 18-panel incised gold lacquer mural created for the 1937 International Exposition of Art and Technology in Modern Life in Paris (”Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques Appliqués à la Vie Moderne”). Work related to the monumental project for the 1937 International Exposition.
