A geometric low side table, known as the "dorique" model, born from the historic collaboration between designer Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann and master lacquerer Jean Dunand. Originally designed in 1913, this unique piece was executed in 1925 for the prominent Lyon silk manufacturer François Ducharne. The table features an octagonal top resting on a powerful central fluted column stem, rigorously evoking the proportions of classical architecture. The entire structure is supported by a thick square plinth base. The oak frame is fully enhanced by a sumptuous, solid dark red lacquer of remarkable sheen and depth, showcasing Jean Dunand's signature craftsmanship.

An armchair with a high, upright backrest rounded at the top. The solid armrests terminate in padded, outwardly scrolled cuffs. The Macassar ebony frame is visible as a wooden trim outlining the front edge of the armrests and extending downward to encircle the base of the frame beneath the seat cushion. The support structure consists of four solid wood legs: the two front legs are tapered with a circular cross-section, while the two rear legs display an outwardly curved sabre profile. The entire inner and outer surfaces of the backrest, sides, and seat are covered in velvet padding. llustrated on page 335 in the book “Ruhlmann” by Florence Camard, Édition Monelle Hayot, 2009.

c. 1925 Two visitor armchairs (reference 149AR-112 NR)

A Macassar ebony drop-leaf sideboard. The rectangular top features a rim highlighted by a remarkably delicate ivory inlay designed to mimic a herringbone passementerie pattern. This top is flanked by two retractable lateral drop leaves, each fitted with a circular ivory pull handle from which a white fabric tassel hangs. The structure is supported by four extremely slender, sinuous, and curved tapered legs. This sideboard also features an open lower shelf with a raised border. Certificate from Mr. Jean-Marc Maury.
