Chest of drawers in rosewood with brass nails and solid mahogany. The upper left portion incorporates three drawers equipped with rectangular handles, while the adjacent section consists of two doors. The plinth base, forming a recessed pedestal, is distinguished by the integration of an additional horizontal door extending across its entire length.

André Sornay developed his first patent in 1932: the concept of “cloutage” that evokes aeroplane rivets. This new assembly technique involved attaching veneered panels onto a structure using small nails (“clous”). The alignment of these nails became both an element of decoration and a trademark. This patent led to the manufacture of limited series of furniture that remained financially accessible.

Walnut armchairs with geometric lines, notably characterized by solid wood sides with angular cuts. Their high and slightly inclined backrest fits dynamically into this imposing cubic structure.
