A Macassar ebony drop-leaf sideboard. The rectangular top features a rim highlighted by a remarkably delicate ivory inlay designed to mimic a herringbone passementerie pattern. This top is flanked by two retractable lateral drop leaves, each fitted with a circular ivory pull handle from which a white fabric tassel hangs. The structure is supported by four extremely slender, sinuous, and curved tapered legs. This sideboard also features an open lower shelf with a raised border.

Certificate from Mr. Jean-Marc Maury.
