Low chest of drawers in mahogany with brass nails and solid mahogany. Its facade features two wide stacked drawers, each highlighted in the center by an imposing curved semi-cylindrical brass handle. The front corners of the piece are framed by vertical semi-cylindrical columns. The entire structure rests on a hidden, recessed plinth base.

André Sornay developed his first patent in 1932: the concept of “cloutage” that evokes aeroplane rivets. This new assembly technique involved attaching veneered panels onto a structure using small nails (“clous”). The alignment of these nails became both an element of decoration and a trademark. This patent led to the manufacture of limited series of furniture that remained financially accessible.

Pair of pedestal ashtrays in solid walnut with hollowed-out faces. Its upper part accommodates a removable brass receptacle integrated into the center of a square top.
