This mahogany armchair features a strongly architectural frame with openwork, geometric armrests forming detached side structures. The deep seat and raked backrest are upholstered in a textured cream fabric. The base is notably highlighted by scrolled rear feet that add a subtle fluid rhythm to the overall rectilinear composition.

This piece has been created before the nails patent so before 1932. The pre-cloutage production featured strongly built pieces of furniture characterized by their simple lines, constructed in accordance with traditional cabinetmaking practice. At this period most production is 'on order'.
