Architectural red lacquer bookcase. The composition is structured around a tall vertical column featuring a series of open compartments on the right side, extending downward into an arrangement of staggered and cantilevered shelves. The entire structure rests on a shallow, solid horizontal base, creating a clean and graphic silhouette.
Unique piece.
This piece has been created before the nails patent so before 1932. The pre-cloutage production featured strongly built pieces of furniture characterized by their simple lines, constructed in accordance with traditional cabinetmaking practice. At this period most production is 'on order'.
