A set of four "bridge" armchairs in solid mahogany. Each piece features an airy, geometric frame with straight armrests integrated into a linear structure with low stretchers. The narrow, padded, and slightly tilted backrest is suspended centrally by a single vertical upright. Both seat and backrest are upholstered in a light-colored fabric, accented with two tufted buttons on the backrest.

André Sornay developed a rapid furniture assembly system, filing various patents for it between 1953 and 1955. This patent, known as the "tigette Sornay," proved to be revolutionary. This process laid the foundation for the entire flat-pack or "kit" furniture system used today. The assembly of the piece is limited to joining a front frame and a rear frame fitted with threaded inserts designed to receive the rods. The nuts are left visible on the front facade.

Walnut armchairs with geometric lines, notably characterized by solid wood sides with angular cuts. Their high and slightly inclined backrest fits dynamically into this imposing cubic structure. The deep seat, backrest, and armrest upholstery are covered in a textured light fabric. Ref. « signé sornay. » p.345. This piece has been created before the nails patent so before 1932. Pair of pedestal ashtrays in solid walnut with hollowed-out faces. Its upper part accommodates a removable brass receptacle integrated into the center of a square top. This piece has been created before the nails patent so before 1932.
