Illuminating beech umbrella stand characterized by a tall, narrow, and streamlined vertical structure. Its upper section houses an integrated light fixture diffusing light through frosted glass panels (not original). At mid-height, the open framework is equipped with slender horizontal brass rods designed to hold umbrellas. The base of the unit incorporates a lower receptacle serving as a drip pan.

Unique piece.

Ref. « signé sornay. » p.208.

This piece has been created before the nails patent so before 1932. The pre-cloutage production featured strongly built pieces of furniture characterized by their simple lines, constructed in accordance with traditional cabinetmaking practice. At this period most production is 'on order'.
