Each dining chair in this set of eight features a clean, architectural structure in solid mahogany. The gently tilted backrest has an openwork design formed by three horizontal parallel slats. The square seat is upholstered in beige fabric. The frame rests on two straight square-section front legs and two subtly splayed rear legs.

This piece has been created before the nails patent so before 1932. The pre-cloutage production featured strongly built pieces of furniture characterized by their simple lines, constructed in accordance with traditional cabinetmaking practice. At this period most production is 'on order'.
