Emile Jacot

1887 – 1960

Émile Jacot was a Swiss sculptor, engraver, and educator, who played a key role in the Style Sapin (Pine Style), the Swiss and Jurassian variation of Art Nouveau. A student and later collaborator of master artist Charles L'Eplattenier at the École d'art de La Chaux-de-Fonds, he developed artistically alongside classmates who would become illustrious, including the young Charles-Édouard Jeanneret (Le Corbusier).
